Outdoor Yahtzee Style Dice Game for First Grade

Updated: Nov 19, 2020

This is a great little game that you can play outside with giant lawn dice! My boys love throwing these big dice! Using your large muscles helps get your blood moving to your brain and is great for kinesthetic learners! This game is great for practicing those addition facts in first grade. This is one of the games included in the Wild Math First Grade Curriculum Guide.

How to Play: Player one rolls two dice, adds them together, and checks off the sum on their board. Then player two takes their turn. Play continues until someone fills in their entire sheet and yells “yahtzee”.

You may want to laminate these sheets or slip them into a plastic sleeve to reuse them again.

Here is the link to the First Grade Yahtzee score sheet! You will need a score sheet for each player.

I would love to see pictures of your little one playing this game! Tag on IG @wildmathcurriculum and fb @wildmath!
